Singing away (recorded) just 100 yards north of the boundary with Suffield WMA.  In thickets southside near the oak savannah on the hillside.  Killer looks, very close.

White Eyed Vireos are extra limital? While not super common they aren’t exactly rare either

Monica -

Extralimital means a bird occurring outside our area.

In terms of John’s post, the White-eyed Vireo is not common north of Connecticut, and birders in northern CT and MA would be interested in John’s post.

Our experts may want to weigh in as to whether this is another species pushing its way north.
