Hello Connecticut Birders,
The Connecticut Ornithological Association announces improved updates and a new look across its offerings.  COA welcomes new birders and returning members to review these exciting new features.

Thanks to the generous contribution of art and design by Julian Hough, our logo and masthead have a fresh, updated look highlighted on our website and signature publications The Connecticut Warbler and COA Bulletin. With the creative and technical talents of Cynthia Ehlinger and Steve Morytko, the entire COA website has been refreshed, updated and improved, including secure payment, member-only content, increased type size and enhanced visual content.

In addition, COA’s CTBirds email list has undergone some behind-the-scenes updates that help it continue to be the best place to report and discuss bird sightings in the state. COA’s new capacity to offer online ZOOM workshops allows us to reach more birders throughout Connecticut and beyond. And the new COA tagline “Bringing Birders Together Statewide” reflects our vision as a leader in birding and bird conservation by working cooperatively with other local, regional and national birding organizations in the state as well as individual birders.

COA is an all-volunteer organization with the mission of promoting interest in Connecticut birds, and collecting, preparing, and disseminating the best available scientific information on the status of Connecticut birds and their habitats. New initiatives led by COA President Tom Robben include special new birder field experiences and an online science conference examining birds and the environment coming in the fall.

Please stop by our website and take advantage of all COA has to offer for enhancing your birding experiences in Connecticut. Comments and, of course, compliments are welcome. Visit https://www.ctbirding.org https://www.ctbirding.org/
