Slightly off topic in that it is not a bird, but I'm pretty sure I found a
Long-tailed Skipper at Allen's Meadow today.  For any lepidopterists out
there, are they uncommon in CT?  Pls contact me off-line if you'd like to
see a photo to confirm.

Thnx

Joe -- My old CT Butterfly Atlas (2007) lists Long-tailed Skipper as an
"infrequent migrant" most commonly seen in September. Allen's, esp. the
garden area, would be very likely habitat except that most (not all) CT
sightings are coastal. Note that there is a CT-Leps listserv that many
CTBirders are also on. See
