Hello to CT Birders. Congratulations to all the Connecticut birders

that have discovered or seen any of the rare species found this year
in Connecticut.
This is a friendly reminder and a request to all of you that the
Avian Records Committee of CT (ARCC) would appreciate written reports
of those rare species that were seen this year.
We would also like to give a shout out to all of you that have
already submitted reports for many of the rare species that have
appeared in our state this year
Below are Review List species for which ARCC needs reports submitted.
All of these birds had multiple observers. Please do not assume
someone else will write a report!
The SEDGE WREN in Pomfret from 1June-5 July 2021 NO submitted Reports

The HOARY REDPOLL at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport from 25
Jan-10 Mar 2021 NO submitted Reports
The BLACK_BELLIED WHISTLING DUCKS at Rocky Hill Meadows from 28
Aug-10 Sept 2021  ONE submitted Report
At least one person has indicated that they will submit a report for
yesterday's SWAINSON'S HAWK sighting at Lighthouse Point. Here's
hoping for more.
There are also many sighting that only had one or two observers. We
need those reports as well.

You have to be an actual paid member of the COA to post rare bird sightings?

I see the login but of course it has nothing to do with sending in a report.  I guess I can see where it might be confusing however.

It says write the report and mail it to one of the people listed on the site.  So no, I don’t think you have to be a COA member.

You have to be an actual paid member of the COA to post rare bird sightings?
