When a local Red-tailed Hawk visited our Gales Ferry yard this evening and landed in a tree, the nesting songbirds would have none of it. Orioles, Robins, and Blue Jays showed up to the tree in force, seemingly from every direction, to confront the unwelcome intruder. It was quite a sight to see the Hawk endure swoop after swoop before finally deciding it had had enough, and flew off. He visited the wrong neighborhood tonight!
