Allen’s Meadow

10/4 Allen’s Meadow, Wilton. Just  a general report to say that migration here the last few days has been fairly consistent with what others have been reporting, with nothing too out of the ordinary (Eastern Meadowlark was a good addition). A relatively decent variety (11sp) of warblers- for Allen’s, loads of Palm Warblers and Eastern Phoebes, a RT Hummingbrid or 2 still hanging around my garden plot feeding on salvia and cardinal flower, and a decent number of sparrows including Lincoln’s, although no White-crowned or Vespers yet. I would expect not much change these next few days of 80’s! until the next batch of migrants arrive on NNW winds after this front comes through Wed/Thur.
Thanks to Chuck for running the Community Gardens Harvest again this year- undoubtedly the best month of the year at Allen’s.
