In case anyone is interested I just found out the Great White Heron that was in Greenwich last fall was found dead at some point and deposited in Yale's museum.  I was surprised to here that since it looked fine when I saw it.  It was feeding and preening like normal.  Go figure.  A shame.  At least it went somewhere where it's body can be used.
