FOY white-throated sparrow. Showed up in our apple tree on Saturday, 9/28 and burst into a little song on Sunday, 9/29. Don't know how this arrival date compares to previous years, but it seems early. Although this year's WTSPs seemed to stick around much later in the spring, and we did have one or two summer over a couple of years ago. Maybe this one just went off to enjoy summer in CT and came back to its favorite restaurant for the off-season. Tammy Eustis Chester
