TWGL: RE: Trawler-world-great-loop Digest, Vol 7, Issue 7
Mon, Jul 7, 2003 11:55 AM
http://www.1staboard.com/ Above is a link that will allow you to get an estimate on getting the boat hauled. Although I have not had a large boat hauled, I have heard some stories from some who have. It would be wise to personally supervise the prep work to insure that things are very, very secure before the journey. Good luck.

Here is the detailed explanation about what I want to achieve with this setup: I want to use the calibration signal, to estimate the unknown delays/phases (introduced by the hardwares) on the receiver side, then use this calibration to apply angle-of-arrival algorithms on the received data.

Re: [CT Birds] Fires to blame?

If there are significant and substantiated numbers of dead birds that are known (that is an important word here) to have been killed through respiratory impact then one can estimate the real impact. As for the smoke obstructing the bird's view of the sky, migratory birds are believed to use stars to navigate but it isn't the only guidance mechanism used.

S Windsor meadows, 7-15-09 - Bird pics

Someone estimated 20 on Monday, but it is my guess there are 50 or more in that field. However, by 8:15 am only a few were still visible, so it seems they come out for a while, early. It was possible to get within 25 feet or so of them without any apparent discomfort on their part.
