It is widely estimated that green driving can save between 5% to 30% on fuel usage in most fleets. Even if we (Pierce County Government) just improved our fuel efficiency by 5% we could save over 43,700 gallons per year (over $150,000). If you drive a car or truck please take a few minutes to go over these 15 green driving tips.

Seattle seeks artist for First Hill Streetcar

It is estimated the streetcar line will cost $125.8 million to build. The artwork will be funded with SDOT 1% for Art funds generated by this project. The city's public art ordinance specifies that 1% of eligible city capital improvement project funds be set aside for the commission, purchase and installation of artworks in a variety of settings.

ARTS NEWS: Seeking artist to develop sound-based artwork for Elliott Bay Seawall

The total artwork budget is estimated at $200,000, inclusive of all fees, taxes, fabrication, delivery, installation, travel and other project-related costs. The artwork is funded by SDOT 1% for Art funds generated by the reconstruction of the Elliott Bay Seawall in downtown Seattle, and administered by the Office of Arts & Culture.
