The company's "VA-001" flew an estimated 7,000 miles non-stop over 121 hours and 24 minutes - and had enough fuel to continue at least three more days. When the experimental aircraft landed, it had achieved the distinction of being the "longest unmanned internal combustion powered flight in history," according to the company.

Walmart did not say how much its program is expected to cost, but officials estimate about 68,000 employees could enroll within the first five years. "Investing in the personal and professional success of our associates is vital to Walmart's future success," Greg Foran, Walmart U.S. chief executive officer, said in a statement.

A one-day estimate of 5000 t Longridge was made in the late 1970s before the decline. Sanderling: 22 fading and molting adults on 18 July. Semipalmated Sandpiper: 1095 adults (no juveniles) on 22 July. Least Sandpiper: first juvenile on 17 July. 80 (1/2 juveniles) on 20 uly. White-rumped Sandpiper: 109 molting adults on 22 July.

The study estimates that enrollment at public colleges would increase between 9 and 22 percent, while enrollment at private colleges could decrease by as much as 15 percent.

Mixed flocks of warblers, one containing an estimated 200 birds, can be found, with patience and "pishing", in various parts of the Park.

Alan Wormington estimated that there were 3100 BANK SWALLOWS, 700 BARN SWALLOWS, and 180 CLIFF SWALLOWS (including a partial albino Cliff Swallow). Also mixed in were numerous TREE SWALLOWS and a few CHIMNEY SWIFTS. In fact, several Chimney Swift were seen flying amongst the trees in the woods!

The latter species tends to alternate between Presqu'ile and Barcovan/Weller's Bay, and last week an estimated 300 MUTE SWANS were present.

Until recently the James Bay population was thought most likely to winter along the southeastern coast of the United States (Morrison et al. 2006), where counts estimated 2226 birds a few years ago (Winn et al. 2006). The origins of the southeast Atlantic wintering birds remain a mystery.
