Mon, Jul 19, 2010 1:09 AM
The crew arrived on 14 July and is staying until mid August so they will see adults and juveniles of many shorebirds, allowing rough estimates of breeding success. SHOREBIRD OBSERVATIONS Usually only the high count day for each species is recorded below. Recent weather has been wet and windy affecting observations. Black-bellied Plover: 1 adult on 17th.

Re: Fluid-flow static pressure formula

I may be off the road relating his pressure estimates to the self-prime spec, but the numbers I got imply there's no way these pumps will self-prime through 40-ft of 5/8" hose. Something doesn't add up here. >Few pump manufacturers provide complete pump curves.

TWL: RE: Earlier Post Regarding Refrigeration Problem
Wed, Sep 6, 2000 3:05 AM
Estimated repair costs were about $650 plus labor. The repairman suggested that I replace the unit. I received many disappointing stories about Norcold that further convinced me not to repair the unit.

The Permit to Proceed requires that I identify the next port and the estimated time in transit. The Permit allows me to cruise directly to that port, where I have to advise the new "local" US Customs office that I have arrived. They then contact the previous "local" office which then forwards my registration and title to the "new" office.

.;-) ---found his way from Europe to the Pacific and to the places he wanted to go in a boat that could more or less go only one way and with charts that were largely estimates sprinkled with guesses. He and his crew did a pretty good job with their eyes and brains.

Their experts estimate to repair the problem, $10,000.00 to $15,000.00, depending upon how everything comes apart and what is found after the pulpit is removed. I just can't wait to see how that sets with the seller and his broker? I think I just dodged a bullet on that one?

Although I never saw peak speeds that high, my everyday results comfortably exceeded those average estimates. First I ran a lengthy series of speed tests at a widely used benchmarking site (wdc.speakeasy.net). The worst performance I saw was a 540 kbps download and a 63 kbps upload, achieved at half signal strength.

Miami Beach has become a favorite staging and provisioning location for a large percentage of the estimated 100,000 boaters bound for the Bahamas, in addition to boats headed for the Caribbean and Florida Keys each year. Businesses in Miami Beach that serve the cruising community were not consulted regarding the economic impact of the action.
