Clark Atlanta's president wants university to be economic engine for Westside

It is estimated that will cost between $8 million to $12 million to restore Gaines Hall. Also, CAU ended up spending $2 million on legal fees in its challenge against Invest Atlanta, and it is seeking for the city to pay for that expense.

The salient results of the UNCF study reaffirms the relevancy and dynamism of HBCUs as an integral economic entity which does indeed, make America strong.

In Alabama, it is estimated that there are 276,000 people in the state that do not have any wired internet providers available to them, while 800,000 residents lack access to high-speed internet or 25 megabytes per second download speed.

Elsewhere around that same location, there was a WINTER WREN on Bryant Road, 2 GREEN HERONS in the Albury Swamp, 2 GREAT EGRETS seen in flight, and an estimated 1,000 RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS.

In the Point Traverse Woods just north of the Observatory, birders there walked into a wall of birds with an estimated 25-30 SCARLET TANAGERS present in that woods alone and large numbers of NORTHERN PARULAS, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLERS and both BLACK-THROATED GREEN and BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLERS.

One observer at Prince Edward Point on the 2nd estimated the number to be about 225, the most at any time he had ever seen. And they weren't alone either, as all indications pointed toward a major fallout of birds at Prince Edward Point that morning when he arrived at 7:30 a.m.

However, it wasn't only at Massassauga where this west to east/northeast movement of geese was noted; nearby Big Island had an estimated 2,600 fly over, and in the Prince Edward Point area, the total was more like 20,000. It was a good day down that way to see waterfowl of every description with 22 species being recorded.

The most recently published estimate of the James Bay population is "about 1500 birds" in the Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Ontario (2007). Hudsonian Godwit: 305 molting adults on 7 Aug. Ruddy Turnstone: 276 adults on 7 Aug, first 2 juveniles on 14 Aug. RED KNOT: Very few knots compared to previous years.
