Lesser Black-backed, Bonapartes, Iceland, Black-headed Gulls + 1 mystery Gull K Mueller

Conservative estimates- total-8,000++. Not including the later massive swarms I saw out beyond the Lighthouse. I walked out and back many times as far as the SE bend in the reef to about 3/4 the way to the end. The gulls would just fly around me, and regroup so I could look at them again when I was walking in.

[Ontbirds] James Bay Shorebirds - Report #1
Tue, Aug 7, 2012 1:52 PM
RED KNOT: The estimated spring population in 2012 of eastern rufa Red Knots was 30,000 birds. About 26,000 stopped (more than recent years) at Delaware Bay because Horseshoe Crab eggs were abundant this year. Knots departed in excellent shape for the breeding grounds. However, reports suggest knots had a poor breeding season because of cold weather.

We estimate that the tow line transmitted about 200 hp to the sailboat. It did not go any faster, but did sit very low in the water, about the same as with a twenty knot wind with full sail on a broad reach.

I estimate I could blast an entire side of the boat in a couple or three hours. It would go faster if you had a bigger capacity blaster (so you don't have to reload as often), but I need to be able to move this one around and into the boat easily. Both my compressor and my blaster are easily up to the task. What a relief. Hot? Dirty? Gritty? Well, yep.

The bill was exactly what was estimated. Security in the yard was excellent. Bottom line: our winter in Venezuela was a wonderful experience and we hope to return someday.

Trip to DC Diverted at Wolf Trap

I estimate that we shipped between 100 to several hundred gallons of water into the salon during the 8 hours traveling North. Fortunately the bilge pumps worked flawlessly and the high water alarms never sounded. The next problem was a 40 degree roll. We are confident of the measurement because we have a dial indicator at the helm.

Re: [OpenSCAD] Learning how to use OpenSCAD

I hope my original response to the OP didn’t come off as patronizing or simplistic, that wasn’t the intent… I clearly mis estimated the OP’s level of familiarity with OpenSCAD already. I wasn’t suggesting that OpenSCAD was the only parametric design program out there but as you say, Solidworks IS expensive.
