Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsI met the coolest boat couple a little bit ago -- and gosh, it's amazing
the feats that ordinary folks can accomplish with a combination of naiveté
and determination. It all began back in 1986 when Ted and his bride Sarah
lived in Michigan on the water. Life was grand and they enjoyed boating,
albeit in small (16') runabouts versus yachts.
To read about a couple who have taken their Manatee (Kadie Krogen 36) over
120k miles, you might wish to visit this page:

Ted and Sarah are truly very skilled and accomplished cruisers having done the Great Loop 23 times, regularly cruising to the Caribbean...all in their Krogen Manatee towing a dinghy rigged to be a second propulsion system. They are indomitable not leaving St Claire (just north of Detroit) until mid October every year. Amazing. Just guard your scotch if Ted comes over...:). Gave you up Ted!
