VIRTUAL GATOR FITNESS CHALLENGE UPDATE (through day 3 of week 6):
We're well on our way to exceed this week's 250 hour target... Let's keep
this fitness train rolling! We have lots of options today including our
first yoga session in a long time being offered by Heather Williams
Bloodworth (see "Events" for details and FREE registration info; also
includes an option for a meditation session shortly following the yoga
session)! And our Head Coach Logan Washburn has provided two options in
today's Training Peaks workouts post...
Bootcamp (30 minutes): Body weight bootcamp workout. Workout can be done
with no equipment except your own bodyweight. Family friendly- get everyone
involved! 45-60 seconds on, 15 seconds off. Rotate between the exercises.
• Jump squats
• Shoulder tap planks
• Walking lunges
• Crab or bear walk
• Side Lunges
• Burpees w/pushups
• Russian twist crunches
• Bridges
• Tricep dips
• Side plank twist
• Mountain climbers
• Walk/run up and down stairs
Interval Run (60 minutes): Intervals can be run/walk or jog/run...
• Warmup first- 5-10 minutes easy
• Try to either do hills to make the intensity harder at times or, if on a
flatter course, pick up the pace at times. Ideally, try to run 2-3 minutes
hard, then follow with 2-3 minutes at a recovery pace.
• Cooldown for 5-10 minutes at the end
