Would anyone consider a year long trade of a trawler for an Oregon, home?

My wife and I would like to take a break from our landlocked lives and
spend 2012 on a cruise of The Great Loop.  We have been planning to buy
a single engine trawler in the 35 ft to 40 ft range of a 70's or 80's
vintage, but wonder if any trawler owners just want a break from boating
for a year.  Although this will be a good year to buy a trawler, rising
fuel costs and uncertainty in the economy may make selling a boat next
year a challenge. We don't think that long term ownership is likely for
us, so the expense of buying and selling a boat all in one year may be
considerable.  Perhaps there is a trawler owner out there who might want
to live on solid ground for a year? While we try live-aboard boating for
a year? If anyone is interested, even slightly, we would like to talk.
