02/20/11 - Stratford, Long Beach -- about 11am, Linda & I estimated
about 40 COMMON REDPOLLS in the same location identified by John
Marshal. They were mostly on the ground and could easily
be missed, except occasionally would fly up onto weeds or the snow
fencing. Frank also relocated the adult ICELAND GULL here to the east
of the entrance booth (actually in front of one of the beach houses).
02/20/11 - Raven Pond -- 3 pair Northern Pintail, and the male
Mallard X Northern Pintail.

02/20/11 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 3 Bonaparte's Gulls just
east of the observation platform at the beginning of the Moraine
Trail. They flew off when 5 more flew by headed towards the jetty.
The 8 Bonaparte's Gull ended up along the beach in the lee at the foot
of the jetty offering great close views and photographs. Also 1 PURPLE
SANDPIPER.
