Not much boating background. Sailed from HK to Darwin in a 32'
Cheoy Lee ketch back in 1978. Lived in Sydney for 25 years, now in
PA. Closest I got to buying a boat was the Krogen Whaleback a few
years ago. Still have serious concerns about cats in big seas. Not
that I am looking for big seas, but I am not a keen swimmer.
Welcome aboard, Stephen!
As time goes on and more power catamarans make offshore passages,
we'll all understand better what the level of risk is. It may be
quite low as, so far, I've been unable to find any power cat that has
pitchpoled or capsized at sea.
