The Tacoma Community College Summer Orchestra is a volunteer, outreach project for music in our community. This project is in its tenth year, and continues to involve local students, amateur, and professional musicians. Musicians in the orchestra have the opportunity to experience the thrills and challenges of playing in a large orchestral ensemble, and annually perform works by major composers. The public gets to enjoy a casual and FREE concert.
This year the TCC Summer Orchestra is performing music from films. It is a really energetic and accessible program of music, with several well-known pieces. The concert is FREE, open to the public, and an "all-ages welcome" concert.
