CHB is hosting 2 Earth Day projects this year.

#1

Pre-Earth Day Event with CHB: Help us celebrate "Earth Month" by joining us
on April 9th from 1pm to 5pm at the Tahoma Salt Marsh. We will be planting
native salt marsh plants, installing goose exclusion fencing and looking for
those pesky non-native, invasive species. Since we will be working directly
in the marsh rubber boots are recommended. Dinner will be provided at the
end of the event.  Car-pooling is highly recommended.  Please pre-register
at jriss@healthybay.org or call 253-383-2429.

#2

Earth Day Project with CHB:  Join CHB for our annual Earth Day event on
April 23rd at Yowkwala Beach Restoration Site. The event will be from noonto
5pm with dinner to follow. We will be continuing efforts to remove invasive
species such as Himalayan blackberry and scotch broom. Volunteers can also
help pick up trash along the beach.

The beach area is cobbled with lots of woody debris. Sturdy foot wear is
highly recommended and an ability to walk over this type of surface is
needed.

The site is located through Tyee Marina at 5618 Marine View Dr. Parking is
limited to 20 cars, so please car-pool or be dropped off.

Please pre-register at jriss@healthybay.org or call 253-383-2429.
