Official Counter:        Nicole Shangi

Observers:        Hugh Kent, Liz Kent, Noel Herdman

Visitors:
Thank you to all our visitors today including Noel.

Weather:
What a windy day today! Winds were very strong from the southwest today,
partially cloudy with a few drizzles here and there.

Raptor Observations:
Despite the south winds, we had a good number of raptors seen today. Turkey
vultures glided across the shore for most of the day, and some passed to
the north. There were a good number of falcons today, including 12
kestrels, 4 merlins and 6 peregrines. We've officially surpassed 100,000
raptors for the 2022 migration season!

Non-raptor Observations:
The non-raptor checklist is a tad bit shorter than usual, due to the wind.
However, we did see some great birds today, including a female summer
tanager and a pelican! Be sure to check out the eBird list for a photo of
the summer tanager taken by Noel Herdman. Thanks Noel! There were also much
fewer ducks on the marsh today, the majority were gadwall.

Predictions:
Tomorrow may be similar to today, with high southwest winds and partly
cloudy. It will be a chilly day! I’m sure we will get some hawks
tomorrow. Hopefully more falcons in this blustery weather.
