E-Voting Coming to Vuecrest
The Vuecrest Community Association, Board of Directors is updating its method of communications with our homeowners. We will offer homeowners the ability to use a secure web-based interface for the Association balloting, as well as for annual and any special assessments.  This electronic option eliminates the older manual paper, postal methods and streamlines your interactions with the Vuecrest Community Association.  We will use a company that specializes in supporting Home Owner Associations (HOA’s).
In September, we will be sending out correspondence via U.S. mail to all homeowners, so you can vote whether you would like to use electronic ballot for future voting. Please look for it in your mailboxes and, if you have any questions, please send an email to directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net.

Sumiyoshi/Continental Property Project Update
Here is the September construction schedule for the five-story rental apartment complex at our east entrance (the northeast corner of 10th and 100th). The 137-unit apartment building will have two levels of underground parking.
What to Expect This Month:

The dog run and rooftop amenities are in progress and nearly complete. Landscaping and irrigation are nearlycomplete as well. Finishes are being installed in the common areas (lobby, amenity room, mailroom, fitness room, etc.) Final building inspections are underway and will continue this month. The residential units are in the process of being reviewed and punch list items resolved. The first residents are scheduled to move in later this month.

Report Back on the Vuecrest Picnic

A big THANK YOU to all the happy volunteers who joined the fun and helped set up, clean up, and take down the chairs and tables after the picnic. You made it fun! And, of course, our fearless Social Leader, Melissa Hambleton, did another amazing job this year. There are so many little details that go into such a big event and Melissa keeps track of all of them. Her every-ready assistants Mara and David Pitkethly also deserve a “Wind Beneath our Wings” award as they quietly serve our community in so many ways. Also, I’m sure all the children who enjoyed the petting zoo are grateful to the Kadavys for volunteering their lawn for the animals. Thank you!

The picnic was shared by over 135 Vuecrest residents enjoying the live band and fresh tacos. Many people met new neighbors and made fun connections. The children were thrilled and busy with the balloon designer and the Animal Encounters Petting Zoo. The Ice Cream Truck was a yummy bonus after dinner! Even the Bellevue Fire Department was able to make a short visit before duty called.

If anyone has a knack for organization and would be interested in coordinating next year’s picnic, please let us know at directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net. We’re always looking for dedicated talent!

Ready to Throw your Hat into the Ring?
Just like the Marines, we’re looking for a few good men (and women) to fill upcoming vacancies on the Vuecrest HOA Board as a couple Directors complete their terms this year. If you are dedicated to the welfare of your community (as a whole) and your neighbors (as individuals), this may be a good place for you. Please contact directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net with your questions and willingness to serve.  Also, feel free to submit the name of a community member who you feel might be a good candidate who will be contacted to discuss the details of the opportunity.
