Hope all is well with you.
I'm writing to ask about getting statistical information on the positional status of HBCU librarians. We want to know the breakdown of faculty status vs administration vs staff. The Savannah State Faculty Senate is reviewing the faculty handbook. There is a grey area in the handbook in regards to librarians, as the majority weight of faculty evaluation is instruction and scholarship. As we move forward in this process, it would be helpful to learn the models of evaluation being used at similar institutions.
Please complete the following survey: Positional Status of HBCU Librarianshttps://forms.office.com/r/tiY0WLgSnG by Friday, September 5. The results will be submitted to me, Jeremy Schwartz, at schwartzj@savannahstate.edumailto:schwartzj@savannahstate.edu, and I may reach out if I have additional questions. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Best,
Jeremy
