Good Afternoon,

We hope you have been enjoying the OAMA listserv that IMLA is facilitating. For those of you unsure of what this list is please read further. We also will provide some ways to get less emails and not clog your inbox but stay part of the list.

Upon being subscribed you should have received an email with the subject line, "Welcome to the "Oama" mailing list" in that email you will see some options on how to edit your subscription preferences. I would recommend finding that email and selecting the link half way down to change your options. If you no longer have that email enter the following in the URL bar and be sure to fill in your email: http://lists.imla.org/mailman/options/oama_lists.imla.org/[your email]

You can also create a rule on your email to send all emails from oama@lists.imla.orgmailto:oama@lists.imla.org to a specified folder. (Click this link for help https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/133265-how-to-move-all-messages-from-the-message-sender-to-specific-folder-in-outlook)

  1. Right click on "Specific Email" and select "Create Rule"
  2. In this step, you need to select condition and Action
    *  Select one or all conditions according to your need.

From / Subject Contains / Sent to

 *   Select Actions:
  • Display in the New Items Alert Window
  • Play a select sound
  • Move the item to folder (Select folder where you want to send the email messages)
    • After selecting conditions and actions, hit "OK" button.
  1. Option to run "Rule", you need to select the option to run the rule for messages already in the current folder.

  2. Moving messages to specific folder. If you run the rule, it will automatically move all the messages of specified sender to specific folder that you selected in second step.

Welcome to the OAMA listserv. Have a question, an answer to a member's question or anything you'd like to share? Send it to the listserv to have your voice heard! This listserv is a joint project of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA, www.imla.orghttp://www.imla.org)  and the Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys (OAMA). This listserv is intended for full time or part time Oklahoma Municipal Attorneys to share ideas, ask questions and develop relationships for advancing municipal law and to enhance the representation of municipal clients. This listserv is a great networking tool for all OAMA members to communicate through a designated email address (OAMA@lists.imla.orgmailto:OAMA@lists.imla.org).

Bear in mind that emails may be public records and also subject to confidentiality limitations under Rule 1.6,  so consider using hypotheticals and following up with telephone communications if the issue is sensitive. From time to time IMLA may send information about it, its membership and its programs and we hope that if your city is not a member of IMLA that you'll consider joining. Should you have any questions or would like to unsubscribe, please contact Chuck Thompson (cthompson@imla.orgmailto:cthompson@imla.org), Caroline Storer (cstorer@imla.orgmailto:cstorer@imla.org), or Kathryn Walker (Kathryn.Walker@NormanOK.govmailto:Kathryn.Walker@NormanOK.gov ). Welcome to the OAMA Listserv!
