I have been approached by our police department regarding the draft of a sexting ordinance to address juvenile sexting. I found several in other states, but nothing in Oklahoma. Anyone ever considered such an ordinance or see a problem with adopting one?

Possession of child pornography is a felony under 21 O.S. § 1040.13. Section 14-111 of Title 11 prohibits municipalities from enacting any ordinance making an unlawful act or omission declared by state statute to be punishable as a felony.
And there is likely an issue regarding enforcement. Our SROs report that most every cell phone they confiscate has images that meet the definition of child pornography. When they ask about prosecution, the victim's parents just want the images to be deleted.
