11/23  Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center,  9:45am-1PM.
high tide, receding, sunny, around 45-50F.  Beautiful day at the center.
On the beach were flocks of Snow buntings and Horned larks and 2 mute swans
sleeping with their heads tucked in, both Ring billed & Herring gulls,
with American black ducks, a few mallards and a very loud flock of Canada
Geese flying over.
On the marsh: 3 Buffleheads, American Black ducks, a Northern harrier
coasted over and a variety of gulls.
On the grounds:  At the feeders - a flock of House finches, Goldfinches, a
White breasted nuthatch, 1 Carolina Wren, 2 Song sparrows and 4 White
throated sparrows .  House sparrows were hogging the brush piles.
Mourning doves, 2 Downy woodpeckers, 1 Red bellied woodpecker and female
cardinal.  The water fountain was busy around noon since it was sunny and
warm there- with a Chipping sparrow, House sparrows and House finches.
A healthy & peaceful Thanksgiving to all.
