I think the whole subject is getting worn out -- again.  We can
either voluntarily ease off to another topic, like how nice the
weather has gotten for most of us, or our plans for the fall and
winter, or I can block further posting about this dead horse.

Let's do it voluntarily....

If you have something NEW to say, go ahead.  Otherwise, post
something new on a different topic.

Many thanks,

Advice wanted.  We are on our way back down the Ohio River after our run up
the Ohio and other rivers. We are currently docked in Louisville, Ky at the
City Docks touring this fine city.  That said, we are intending to take the
Miss. River South to New Orleans and know of folks who have done this but
they took the Atchafalaya River off the Miss. at approx mm 300 to Morgan
City and then the GICW east to New Orleans.  Can anyone advise which route
is preferable and why?  I am fully aware of the low water issues affecting
the tows but we only draw 3' so shouldn't affect us other than to change
anchorages.  I also realize that the approach to New Orleans down the Miss.
is solid ship terminals...but find that fascinating so want sage advice
before I make a blunder.
All input sincerely appreciated,

Joe
