Subject: Expert invitation from Pew Research Center

This is a special invitation to participate in a project gathering expert input on challenges and opportunities for the future of humanity in the age of digitization and the Internet. The study is being conducted by two non-profits: The Pew Research Center and Elon University's Imagining the Internet Center. Past participants in similar studies have told us that taking the time to think through the questions we present has helped them see a clearer path to future action in their own realm.

The questions: You will spend 10 or 15 minutes sharing your thoughts on the potential evolution of people and technology in the next decade and the likely future of: trust in interaction; the tone of public discourse; the opportunities and challenges of algorithm-based everything and the Internet of Things; and education innovation for future skills.

By default, all of your responses are confidential. However, respondents have the opportunity to take credit for their remarks by simply typing their name at the beginning of each response. Taking credit lends credibility to the results and contributes to a more vibrant public conversation. If your name does not appear at the beginning of a response, the remarks will remain anonymous.

The Pew Research Center and Elon University will issue a series of free and open public reports based on this survey in 2016 and 2017. Your answers, attributed or anonymous, will also be added to Imagining the Internet research site.

If you have any questions, please contact one of us.

Thank you!
