The study is being conducted by two non-profits: The Pew Research Center and Elon University's Imagining the Internet Center. Past participants in similar studies have told us that taking the time to think through the questions we present has helped them see a clearer path to future action in their own realm. By default, all of your responses are confidential. However, respondents have the opportunity to take credit for their remarks by simply typing their name at the beginning of each response. Taking credit lends credibility to the results and contributes to a more vibrant public conversation. If your name does not appear at the beginning of a response, the remarks will remain anonymous. The Pew Research Center and Elon University will issue a series of free and open public reports based on this survey in 2016 and 2017.
