Vuecrest Monthly Board Meeting

Annual Egg Hunt this Saturday

Join your Vuecrest neighbors at the intersection of Park and Belfair (near
our main entrance) at 11am this Saturday, April 12th for our annual
neighborhood Egg Hunt. Even if you don't have kids, this is a great event to
meet neighbors and enjoy the spring morning. We could still use a couple of
volunteers to help out with the event; please contact social@vuecrest.net if
you're interested.

Redevelopment and Rental Update

As you likely have noticed, there is a lot of construction going on in
Vuecrest, and more is about to begin. There are currently 19 projects at
various stages of planning or construction, which underscores the
desirability and value of our neighborhood. The Vuecrest Board reviews each
of these projects (many with multiple revisions) and also uses a licensed
consulting architect to help verify that they are compliant with our
covenants and policies.

The Vuecrest Building Guide (available at
http://www.vuecrest.net/resource-center) lists a number of requirements for
construction sites in our neighborhood, including hours of construction and
site maintenance and cleanup. Most projects proceed without issue, but
sometimes there are problems, especially with subcontractors who aren't
always aware of our rules. And with this many projects, it can be hard for
volunteer Architecture committee members to monitor all of the activity. If
you see issues, please contact architecture@vuecrest.net

Another sign of our neighborhood's long-term appeal is the sharp reduction
in the number of homes being rented out. As of last week, less than 15% of
the properties in our neighborhood are rentals, a big reduction from a few
years ago. If you are renting your property, please be aware of our rental
policy (also at http://www.vuecrest.net/resource-center) and be sure to
update tenant information at http://www.vuecrest.net/communicate/update-us.

Keep Vuecrest Beautiful!

A little effort goes a long way.  Our community mail stands look much better
when flyers and newspapers are removed on garbage day.  Consider bringing a
bag with you when you walk and pick up litter dropped by the recycle trucks.
Please pull those bins in promptly and tuck them away in a discreet spot.
There's value in a clean neighborhood for everyone!

Call for Volunteers

The board is looking for a volunteer to write our monthly newsletter and
help with other board communications tasks.  If you are interested, please
email directors@vuecrest.net.

Vuecrest Monthly Board Meeting

Please join us at the next Board Meeting on Thursday, May 1st [7:00 - 9:00
p.m.] at the home of Carrie Magnuson and Steve Wick, 9636 Evergreen Drive.
