Music Fans,

Here's what's going on with The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra this week:

Wednesday June 29th we'll be doing two interviews with guest artists.

10am will be with pianist and composer George Colligan.
We'll be discussing his long association with bassist and band leader Buster Williams.

7:30pm will be with trombonist, composer, and arranger, David Marriott. We'll be continuing with our series on composing and arranging concepts.

Friday July 1st we'll be performing at McGilvras in Seattle WA.
I'll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass.
7:30pm to 10pm, all ages welcome, no cover charge.

Sunday July 2nd we'll be performing at The McMenamins Elks Temple in Tacoma WA.
I'll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass, Stefan Schatz on drums, and special guest Dan Kramlich on piano.
5pm to 8pm, all ages welcome, no cover charge.

The performance can be attended in person or online via facebook or on The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra's Youtube channel.

About our guest:

Pianist Dan Kramlich has established himself as one of Seattle’s most sought after performers, educators, and adjudicators. His style was informed by jazz legends Fred Hersch and Billy Hart, with whom he worked extensively while studying at Western Michigan University.

Dan can be heard on many recordings by local musicians, including Steve Treseler’s “Center Song,” the Vern Sielert Dektet’s “From There to Here,” Bernie Jacobs’ “One by One,” and Phil Parisot’s “Lingo” and “Creekside.”

He currently performs with his own group, the Dan Kramlich Grunge Trio, as well as the Javatown Swing Orchestra, Jennifer Kienzle, and many others.

Dan also maintains a busy teaching studio. He currently directs the jazz ensemble at Seattle Pacific University, teaches many courses at Bellevue College, and maintains a busy private teaching studio in Seattle.
