I was unaware until this current discussion that Thingiverse has a forum for OpenSCAD. Obviously I'm aware of this email list (duh) and not too long ago became aware of the Reddit resource. One might expect that a benefit of the email list is that the material/contributions are delivered "to your door" while forum posts often require seeking. For those who desire different results, I'd like to note that both the Reddit OpenSCAD resource and the Thingiverse OpenSCAD resource support RSS feed readers. This provides the forum experience with the email list delivery feature, of sorts. I'm on my third or fourth RSS reader, as the previous programs were abandoned by the creators and when one has a feed reader with a certain layout and data management interface, it can be challenging to find a suitable replacement if the existing one vanishes. Finding a suitable reader when I first set out on the quest was a challenge too, of course. As a Firefox user, I find that Feedbro does the trick, although it has a few bugs and occasionally loses the 300+ feeds to which I am subscribed. That is the Development community, most (I haven't done a survey*, butcertainly the core Developers) like emails. They don't have the time, or desire to regularly logon to a Forum andscan for anything they have not seen.   That is the purpose of this environment, an avenue to the Developers,it has the incidental benefit of Communitysupport.   But there are many other Community support arenas available. *Luckily Jordandid a nice job recently, summarising his survey, and listing thesealternatives. Please see attached.   I do have on my bucket list, finding a Mailing-list integrated Forum,as I mentioned I too do like them. But right now there are tooo many other things happening in my &the wider world. Same for the other Admins.   If anyone has suggestions that are dirt cheap & easy to administer,let me know.
