Folks,
My municipality is doing a project that calls for separate bids on different
aspects of a project. The bids were opened and on one portion the city
received no bids. Bidders on other items informed management it could buy
the item prefabricated out of state. This is a capital improvement project.
The cost of the prefab item is $150,000.00+. Is there any option other than
rebidding the matter? How many times does one have to rebid if that is what
is required? Obviously the city would simply like to go buy the item and
get on with construction.
