Removing dead dog from roadway

Hi there,
I have been contacting many different places regarding the removal of the dead dog from the roadway in front of 9034 Woodland Trace in trying to assist the neighborhood. While I was under the impression that the public works department was going to come remove the dog (as they initially told me this morning) I was just told by them that the HOA is responsible for removing the dog as we are in a gated community and it is considered private property. Any information regarding who to contact is appreciated as I keep getting the run around from many different places and I hate that many of the neighborhood kids are becoming upset at the continued site of this.
Thanks so much!

I already contacted HOA President Tom Angotti who contacted Wildwood, our managing entity. I’ve been checking the local Lost Pet Facebook pages to see if anyone has reported this poor little guy missing, but I haven’t seen anything. Very sad and unfortunate. Would recommend to parents to avoid this area with your children for now. The LSR Facebook page stated yesterday that the school bus hit him so unfortunately some children likely experienced the tragedy. I think the bus drives too fast through the neighborhood but that’s a different issue.

Good afternoon...
Thanks Courtney for reaching out and trying to help with this incident.
Tom has reached out as well to Wildwood and they are in the process of assisting us to get it removed before the kids return home from school. They will be reaching back to Tom shortly with a confirmation in this matter.

Thanks again
Leona
