"Steve Jewell" cbunkee@comcast.net:

We slip a 32' Cooper in the Delta area in CA. My wife and I are both
teachers and are looking to retire in a few years to Brookings, OR. We're in
the process of downsizing to a trailerable cat. We want to take it salmon
fishing, weekend trips up (away from CA.) the Oregon coasts and trailer it
to the San Juans in the summer. I have received a great number of responses
to my first two inquiries. Your members have been a great help so far -
thanks for the web site.

Welcome to the List, Steve!

A trailerable power cat would be a phenomenal way to cruise your way
around the best cruising grounds in North America.

I'm on a similar hunt, with my leading candidate still being the
TomCat 24. I'm having trouble getting my head around the appearance
of the new TomCat 255 even though, for cruising, it's the better boat.

There are other power catamarans under 30 feet suitable for cruising:

This is by no means the complete list but a good starting point for
those in the hunt for a smaller power catamaran.
