Here's how to nominate for the Intl Comm Assoc "Other" Award (I feel like
alien now that I have it) and other ICA Awards (such as Collaborative
Practice which wasn't awarded last year because of paucity of nominees)

Dear Barry  Wellman,

The nomination site for ICA awards and Fellows nomination is now open.
This year we are handling all awards online. Nominations for the nine
association-wide research awards, the Aubrey Fisher Mentorship Award, the
Fellows Book Award, and ICA Fellows must be received at ICA headquarters
in Washington, D.C., by January 31, 2009. All Nominations, except those
for ICA Fellow, will be submitted through the ICA website
(http://www.icahdq.org) beginning November 15, 2008. ICA Fellow
nominations need to be submitted as one electronic package per nominee to
Tina Zeigler-Jones at tzeigler@icahdq.org by the January 31 deadline.

To submit a nomination go to http://www.icahdq.org/cfp/. It will be
important to have all the supporting material ready to upload into the
system (CVs, letters of nomination, letters of support, etc). Please read
the various calls carefully to insure that you submit all the needed
material. For nominations for the Outstanding Book and the Fellows Book
Awards, please make arrangements with the publisher to have 5 copies of
the book shipped to ICA headquarters by the January 31 deadline.

All Awards must be submitted by the January 31, 2009, 11:00 PM EST
deadline. For more information and guidelines about the various awards,
