Gentlemen,

Your elected Executive Board met and clarified how selections will be made and how the process will reflect the culture of the club moving forward.

As Head Coach Borlase has stated time and again, player commitment to making practice must be a priority. To align the club with that vision, the board is implementing the following criteria for all players, effective immediately:

Practice is mandatory.

If you are going to miss practice or arrive late, then you must notify your corresponding selector (backs and forwards).

Selectors:
Forwards - Casey Norwald (quinnrugger@gmail.com)
Backs - Brian Perna (brian_perna@hotmail.com)

To be eligible to start on Saturdays, you must make both practices during the preceding week. The only exceptions to this rule will be made if you provide a valid excuse to your selector in a timely manner. Selectors have the discretion to determine whether your excuse was a valid one and either excuse your absence, or count you out for a practice. If you are counted out, you will not be eligible for the starting lineup for the week's game.

If you miss practice, you will not play. Plain and simple. To change the culture of the club, the Board has taken action to ensure we have a decisive means of selection criteria. We understand that life does happen and we don't get paid to play. However, commitment to your teammates is a priority.

Furthermore, you must pay your dues to be eligible for next week's matches in Glendale. Pay your dues by next Wednesday, or you will not be on the list for selection on Thursday. If you cannot pay the $125 amount for the fall dues, then please either begin the installment plan, or contact Red (matthewroberts44@gmail.com) if you need sponsorship.

Dues can be paid via PayPal at http://www.harlequins.org/dues, or with a personal check made out to Denver Harlequins Rugby, which will be collected by either Red or Ollie.

Please get your ducks in a row sooner than later. We hope to see each of you on the field at Infinity Park next Saturday as we face our rivals, the Raptors.

Sincerely,

Tom, Stefan, Mikhail, and Kris
