Hi art friends,I realized that yesterday's totally lazy email with just the flyer about Tacoma Ocean Fest might have told you absolutely nothing.So here goes:I'm organizing a festival!Tacoma Ocean Fest runs 11am-4pm on June 10 in time for World Ocean Day weekend. It's free, held inside and outside the Foss Waterway Seaport at 705 Dock St, Tacoma.It brings arts, sciences and water fun together to celebrate the ocean, tell about its threats and inspire us all to protect it.Expect underwater photography from Mike Coots and keynote speaker/filmmaker Annie Crawley, eco-sculpture from Barbara de Pirro, music, dance (a whale ballet), film, youth film and poetry, science, environmental booths, food trucks and paddle tryouts down on the dock.Oh and Deanne Riley on aerial hoop.
