Hi,
I've noticed that some users are reporting systematically longer delays in CSpace than others, and I suspect that it's due to the fact that they're on older PCs, running XP with ≤ 4 GB RAM, versus being on a newer machine/OS with more RAM. I suspect the choice of browser also plays into this, as my own experience makes me think Chrome is faster with CSpace than Firefox.
I can't go out and buy everybody a brand-new computer loaded with RAM, so I'd like a way of figuring out who needs a machine upgrade and/or a different browser. So far I've tried Google's V8 tool (http://v8.googlecode.com/svn/data/benchmarks/v7/run.html) and Mozilla's Dromeo (http://dromaeo.com/?all). Is this the best way of going about this? Does anyone know of a better way of gauging how fast CSpace will be on a given user's setup?
Thanks,
Michael
