Hi I have a Solartron 7061 and during calibration, the unit checks the channel (1) inputs on the back of the unit and these must be shorted or you will get this error message. I went through this same process with my meter. It is not a bug but a feature. Thank you Larry

Mine does the same, the input in the back was shorted. But maybe I took the wrong connections.
