The Grand Cinema has partnered with Tacoma Creates this summer to show free
and family-friendly films at local parks and other outdoor venues. The
third installment of our Outdoor Movie series will feature the critically
acclaimed film, “Minari,” at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Asia Pacific
Cultural Center, 4851 South Tacoma Way. It is directed by Lee Isaac Chung,
and its semi-autobiographical story follows a Korean immigrant family as it
adjusts to life in 1980s rural America; starring Steven Yeun, Alan S. Kim,
and Oscar-winner Youn Yuh-jung. The Grand will bring free popcorn, you
bring chairs, blankets and other amenities.
