Viewing problem in orthogonal perspective

Hi, gentlemen,

I am a beginner, but I successfully draw my first part.
It looks fine. (It is very "squared", with right angles in the corners).

However I meet a viewing problem I dont understand:

When I watch the part in "perspective" mode, it appears as it should, (the distances away from the viewer appear shorter),

When I switch to the "orthogonal" mode, I expected to see the part without any perspective, as in the so called "isometric" perspective.\

Instead of this, it appears in a kind of inverted perspective, (the distances away from the viewer appear longer).

What did I do wrong?

Thanks

RV
