CLUB CYCLING WORKOUTS PLAN...

Great ride last night (and poor picture taking by me... sorry, Randell...
Somehow I missed getting you and your Gator kit in the photo 😥)... It
included a few of us doing an out and back and the rest made a return to
"Tuesday night intervals" where we ride together from the dog park to the
Pawlings Rd. trailhead (about 2.5 miles), then do a speed interval to the
Betzwood Bridge underpass (about 2 miles) followed by a slow recovery back
to Pawlings, then repeat 2-3 additional times.  This will be our plan for
Tuesday nights through September and Thursday nights will remain as an "out
and back" ride with this Thursday likely being a ride all the way to
Shawmont Ave and back (34 mile round trip), perhaps our last opportunity
with enough daylight to do so.

Here's the tentative plan for weeknight cycling from now until October.  Of
course this year it's hard to guarantee anything... If there are any
exceptions or changes to the plan, we will notify you...

• Tuesdays: Intervals and Optional Brick Run... We'll do 3-4 (or 5 if you
are really ambitious!) intervals between Pawlings and Betzwood.  The total
mileage is about 17 miles for 3 intervals, 21 miles for 4 intervals, and 25
miles for 5 intervals.  The recommendation is that your recovery speed be
5-8 MPH slower than your interval speed.  Following the ride, you can also
do an optional "at your own pace" 1-2 mile run to practice your run off the
bike.

• Thursdays: Out and Back Ride and Optional Brick Run... We'll typically go
a minimum of 12 miles out (could be as many as 17 if we decide to go all
the way to Shawmont Ave in Manayunk, but we're starting to run out of
enough daylight to do many more of those).  And again you can do an at your
own pace short run afterwards if you'd like to practice your "Brick" skills.

• Start Times: Our start times for Tuesdays and Thursdays will be as
follows with ride duration typically 75-90 minutes...

Park, French Creek Park, and Lake Nockamixon.  For these special events an
event will always be posted.
