Munchie is still on the loose in Eagan but wehave some encouraging
sightings. She is still in the area, although covering quite a bit of
ground. In fact, one of our volunteers saw her just 20 minutes ago! We
are still trying to find her patterns so we can set about catching her.
So far, sightings have been all over the area and seemingly random.
Today's sighting, however, brings her back to where she started out from
and is very encouraging! She is very un-Newfy like and avoids people at
every opportunity!
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

We still need people to put up posters (they get taken down regularly)
and we are also looking for a volunteer from the area to manage the
trail cams (SD cards need to be changed daily so we can check them for
sightings).
There are other jobs as well and I will have more information about them
after Sunday. A few volunteers are meeting in the area Sunday in order
to make plans for ongoing search efforts. This is a time consuming job
and new volunteers are needed so we don't burn out those that have been
working so tirelessly to find Munchie.
Searching for a lost dog gets expensive. There are posters to be made
and food is needed to bait stations with, and other miscellaneous
expenses have come up as well. The NNC Board has agreed to fund $100 of
her search. Thank you! To help with the rest I have set up a fundraiser
for Munchie. It can be found here:
http://www.razoo.com/story/Help-Save-Munchie
Money that is not needed for searching will go to her vet expenses.
Excess will be earmarked for other Minnesota Newfoundlands in need.
Money raised goes to the Newfoundland Charitable Trust, which as you may
know is the 501c3 arm of the Newfoundland Club of America that handles
Newfoundland rescue and health research. All donations to the Trust are
tax deductible.
We have several very dedicated volunteers working very hard, some who
have no history with Newfoundlands or Newfoundland Rescue. They have
generously volunteered their time and talent to help Munchie. Won't you
consider helping, too?
Thanks,
Janey Shaddrick
What part Minnesota is Eagan in?? If it's in the north maybe we could help with the search.
