Natural Yard Care 101: Designing and installing your natural yard care landscape
Saturday, May 12, 10 a.m. to Noon
Tacoma Nature Center, 1919 S. Tyler, Tacoma
Landscape planner Greg Butler will show how to make your landscape more Puget Sound friendly by reducing the need for pesticides, herbicides and unnatural fertilizers on your yard. He has simple ideas that can make less work for you and add more beauty to your yard.

Healthy Landscapes for People & Wildlife: Presentation and plant walk
Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. to Noon
Tacoma Nature Center, 1919 S. Tyler, Tacoma
Urban horticulturist Dana Bressette will help you choose the right plant for the right place. Native plants attract wildlife and use less water, pesticides and fertilizers and add beauty to your yard. Dana will also lead a plant walk highlighting plants in their native habitat.

Workshops are free, but space is limited. Registration is required.
