Visitors:
Jim and Bob each came up, both greeted with a lack of birds.
Weather:
Strong southerly winds throughout the day. Mix of sun and clouds in the
morning, switching to full cloud in the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Slow day; only one vulture! A younng Peregrine made a few rounds of the
marsh today, though it did not appear to migrate.
Non-raptor Observations:
A whopping total of 3430 Ring-necked Ducks were estimated by 10s. Crazy to
witness such a flock when they were half in the sky! A late American
Golden-Plover was observed flying over the marsh today, and a total of 1383
Horned Larks were counted migrating by. Full eBird checklist can be found
