Dear local artists,
The 98404 Little Free Library project is looking for seven artists to
partner with us to place art in the East Tacoma community.
We are a grant-funded project building 16-30 little libraries for the
community and are looking for student, hobbyist, and professional
artists to paint the libraries before they are installed. Each selected
artist will be paid $150.00 by personal check upon completion and return of
the library. Artists will supply their own materials. Medium preferences
are exterior latex paint and/or aerosol paint. Other mediums will be
considered with evidence of durability. Donations of exterior latex paint
and aerosol will be requested so there is a possibility of shared
resources. Each selected artist will be provided with a fully built and
primed library. It will be sealed with a clear protective coating and
installed at a later date by volunteers.
FUNDING:
