Hello Gators,Thanks to everyone that participated in Gatorthon, which I think can be renamed "Gatorthon I" as I'm pretty sure we'll be doing more Gatorthons in the future!  Thanks in particular to our 17 runners, "aid station" volunteers (especially Emma Friend who volunteered for the entire event), photographers, donaters, anyone who supplied items for the event (especially Ruth for the balloons, the Moffas for the alligator, and of course the Pflugers for bringing the fork), and anyone that just stopped by to cheer us on (and some of you fit into all of those categories)!
The results...Miles officially completed: 104.8! (and unofficially I saw a number of you running additional "unofficial miles")Marathons completed: 4!Completion times:Dual Gators (Danny and Jon): 3:17:30 (including, I believe, a half marathon PR for Jon)Gator Men (Vince, Doug, Byron, Jason, Frank, and Tim): 3:33:01 (included Tim running a portion of it at 13 MPH)Solo Gator (Don): 3:36:17Lady Gators (Heather T, Suzanne, Ruth, Melissa, Tiff, Adrienne, Maureen, and Michelle): 3:59:45 (included a majestic demonstration of strategic precision by Michelle to bring in our final sub-4:00 time)Donations: $1,000+!!... THANK YOU ALL for your very generous donations!  I was having a hard time keeping up with all of the per mile donations that came in on Saturday night following Maribeth's initial commitment.  The result of achieving this outstanding result is that we'll have a banner posted at the Y... More details coming on that later.  Also, if you did not have a chance to donate and would like to do so, just reply back and I can get you more information.
There were many, many great photos and videos posted on our Facebook group... If you have not had a chance to do so, check them out!
Thanks also to Kevin and Heather at the Y for enabling us to utilize the wellness center treadmills for the event!  We really appreciate it!
Go Gators!

It was great to be a part of this event!
Thanks for working me into the Lady Gators team so I could do my magic mile with you all!

I really was glad to do my first "running" mile with you after having been sick for so long.  Also it was great to see how having you all around kept me happy and motivated all morning!

Great job to everyone!

Regards,
Ruth Ann
