C Dory built half a dozen semi custom 30 foot Catamarans during the early
90's which have been used every since for fishing camps in Alaska--about 800
hours a year--and have worn out three sets of motors in this time.

A group out of Juneau Alaska has pruchased the molds to the 30 foot hull and
plans for production of these boats.

It will not be called "Tom Cat" since that name went with the sale of the C
Dory Company several years ago.

More can be found about the history and photos on the C Dory owners  website

Thanks, Bob, for posting the info about the Chilkat 30.

I wonder if they'll be strictly fishing boats, as the originals, or
if they'll be modified to provide accommodations. The site doesn't
provide particulars yet.
