P
PUP
Sun, Jun 11, 2006 1:10 AM

Date/time:          June 11, 2006, 12:00 local (24:00z)
Position at noon:  47D15'N  153D26'E
Noon to noon:      169 nm
Avg. speed:        7.0 kts
Miles to go:        419 miles to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Course bearing:    036D
Sea state:          E swells  5 to 7'
Wx:                Wind E, 5 to 10 kts, thick clouds & haze
Water temp:        6.5D C
Crew:              Ben, Brad, Kevin & Kurt
Remarks:
Put 1 vane back in for 8 hours then it was glassy so out again.  It cost us
about 0.4 kts.  We are ahead of schedule for arrival at P-K the morning of
June 14, so speed isn't a problem at the moment.
We always appreciate the moon and it is full now, but too much cloud cover.
We have almost 16 hours of sunlight now, plus long twilight at both ends, so
nights are better even with no moon.
We have beautiful long swells from the east for a perfect sea.
